Opportunities To Volunteer

Adventure Time: Help children learn to communicate in an environment of mutual respect without hitting or put-downs, as you assist with fun camping & educational activities. Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 6:00 pm.

Tutoring: Homework helpers needed during Adventure Time  for students in grades K-6, Mon-Fri, 4:30 - 6:00 pm. Volunteers may elect to work exclusively with helping children learn to read or computer skills.

My Time Teen Camp: Summer program for 6th - 10th graders. Volunteers and professional staff are needed to work together to provide programs needed for healthy development of youth. You may teach self-reliance skills and/or develop self esteem or an introduction into new fields of knowledge.


Program Specialists: Enjoy working with elementary aged, multi-cultured children challenged by the special needs of poverty. You may select from cooking, story telling, arts & crafts, ecology, drama, needlework, and grooming, and more. Small group interaction. Mon-Fri, 4:30 - 5:30 pm, school year; 10:00 - 11:00 summers.

Soccer League: Volunteers are needed to coach, assist or referee in low-cost, multi-cultured soccer leagues for Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, and Under 14. Teams practice at least once a week, with games on Saturday and occasionally Sunday at area parks and recreation centers. Coaches set practice times. Volunteers are needed for Spring and Fall seasons.

Special Events: Assist with special programs scheduled throughout the year by helping plan or assist with registration, food service, children’s programs, child care or workshop monitor. Opportunities include Annual Meeting, Carnival, Parenting Workshops, Family Nites and field trips. You may choose to work on one or more event.
